Pramudith (Marc)
Founder & Managing Director
Marc, the founder of Camp Leopard, grew up in the wild landscapes of southern Sri Lanka, where time was measured not by routine, but by nature. After years spent away in city life, he returned to Yala in search of something deeper a connection he had once known. What began as a personal journey soon became a vision: to create a space where others could experience the wild with the same sense of respect, stillness, and belonging.

The best place in the world to see a leopard in the wild
Yala is home to the highest density of leopards in the world.
Yala National Park extends over 96,000 hectares among 5 blocks. Home to the Big Five — elephants, leopards, sloth bears, wild water buffalos, and mugger crocodiles. Over 200 resident bird species. Our location gives us access to the less crowded Katagamuwa gate and our favourite secluded Blocks 3-6 through Galge and Dambakote gates.

“Absolutely extraordinary. The team stayed in the park until we saw a leopard — and we saw three. The food was the best Sri Lankan cooking I've had on the entire island.”
“Rustic outside, hotel quality inside. The ranger tracked a leopard by smell alone and we sat with her for forty minutes. Worth every rupee.”
“We are Sri Lankan and thought we knew the food. We did not. Come as a guest, leave as a friend — they really mean it.”
